This role seeks a highly skilled Quantum Technologies Specialist to lead the development and strategic implementation of quantum technologies within the EFA Group. The specialist will guide the group’s strategy, define technical roadmaps, and build collaborative partnerships to position the company at the forefront of quantum advancements. Key Responsibilities
Define and author project scopes, technical specifications, and roadmaps for initiatives across EFA Group companies that involve quantum technologies.
Evaluate and advise on which categories of quantum technologies best align with our long-term objectives.
Actively participate in recruitment, helping shape job roles and selecting the right talent to build a world-class quantum-focused team.
Initiate and maintain collaborations with other quantum companies, research institutions, and university platforms, fostering a strong innovation network.
Assess opportunities where quantum innovation intersects with defense needs and provide actionable insights on how these capabilities can enhance the group’s strategic positioning.
Monitor global trends in quantum research and provide direction to position Sthenos AI and EFA Group as pioneers in this emerging domain.
Required Skills
PhD or equivalent advanced degree in Quantum Physics, Quantum Information Science, or a closely related field.
Strong theoretical expertise in quantum technologies, with proven research contributions (publications, patents, or projects).
Ability to translate abstract theoretical concepts into practical applications and strategic directions.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write clear project specifications and present complex topics.
Nice-to-have Skills
Experience working with industry consortia, government-funded projects, or academic collaborations in quantum technology.
Understanding of defense requirements and their potential intersections with quantum computing and communication technologies.
Experience with dual-use technology development or collaborations bridging academia, industry, and defense.
Previous involvement in building teams or leading research groups.
