This Quantum Engineer role focuses on improving quantum processor performance by analyzing extensive measurement data. Key Responsibilities
Improve the correlation between room temperature measurements and processor performance at low temperatures using modeling and experimental investigation of Josephson junctions.
Apply statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to accurately calibrate processor design parameters using large datasets from quantum processor measurements.
Design and implement high-quality software infrastructure to streamline the feedback loop from measurement data to the integrated circuit design team.
Work closely with foundry engineers and scientists to monitor and improve fabrication yield and select the best candidate processors for testing and deployment.
Required Skills
Strong background in statistics and analysis of large data sets.
Undergraduate-level knowledge of circuit theory, including the design and analysis of electrical circuits.
Programming skills in Python for scientific applications.
Experience collaborating with experimentalists to analyze and interpret experimental data.
Undergraduate degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Masters degree relevant to quantum information science or 4+ years of relevant work experience.
Nice-to-have Skills
PhD in Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge or direct experience in superconducting physics, Josephson junction physics and fabrication techniques, radio-frequency engineering, integrated circuit design, circuit quantum electrodynamics, or superconducting qubits.
Experience in a technical role within an industry or startup environment.
