Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary technical contact for strategic partners and suppliers, especially in lasers and optics.

Analyze the supply chain to identify gaps and source new partners and suppliers, conducting market studies to assess their capabilities.

Work with technical teams to gather requirements for new outsourcing and partnership opportunities related to future quantum computer components.

Act as a technical and strategic liaison for legal and supply chain teams during contract, joint development, and IP agreement negotiations.

Develop metrics, present, and report on supply chain assessments and progress to leadership, investors, stakeholders, and customers.

Required Skills

Master's degree minimum

20+ years of experience developing innovative components and solutions and transferring them from concept to product, particularly in lasers and optics

Ability to travel 30% of the time and work onsite at the Broomfield, CO location 30% of the time

Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, green card holder, or granted asylum/refugee status)

Nice-to-have Skills

10+ years working with diverse suppliers to develop new products from low to full product readiness

Expertise in lasers, optics, and modulators, with demonstrated ability to understand complicated technical specifications and assess supplier capabilities

Experience writing complex and comprehensive requirements documents for components and sub-systems, particularly in lasers and optics

Clear and concise communication skills, adaptable to all levels of an organization and stakeholders

Financial acumen to identify should-costs and ROIs

Experience with successful design-for-cost and scoping cost reduction projects
