Key Responsibilities

Research and qualify advanced materials for application on quantum hardware.

Design and implement scalable manufacturing processes for precision components and assemblies.

Evaluate material and process failure modes, perform root cause analysis, and drive mitigations.

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree minimum

Minimum 4 years of experience in an advanced materials and process engineering role

Nice-to-have Skills

Advanced degree in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

Experience with complex hardware systems such as aerospace, optical, cryogenic, photonics, or electronics.

Demonstrated ability to develop and scale processes from R&D to production.

Knowledge of failure analysis tools (SEM, XPS, etc.).

Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and process validation.

Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.

Experience with quality inspections and vendor management for passive and active optics.
