We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Sr. Advanced Materials and Process Engineer to join our team in Broomfield, CO. This role focuses on designing, developing, and testing advanced materials and manufacturing processes critical for complex systems to ensure reliability, scalability, and manufacturability. You will work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and quality to establish standard practices for material selection and process controls across hardware platforms.

All employees should work at their assigned location; however, this role may offer the opportunity to work remotely up to 2 days per week, with approvals.

Works between scientists, engineers, material management, and technicians to select materials and processes based on mechanical, thermal, and chemical properties.

Research and qualify advanced materials for application on quantum hardware.

Design and implement scalable manufacturing processes for precision components and assemblies.

Develop process documentation and controls to ensure repeatability and yield improvement.

Partner with design, quality, and material management to ensure material compatibility and maintain approved materials list.

Support prototype builds and identifies opportunities for process improvement.

Evaluate material and process failure modes, perform root cause analysis, and drive mitigations.

Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
