Key Responsibilities

Apply previous experimental research experience to design, develop, verify, and deploy trapped ion quantum computers.

Work alongside teams of scientists and engineers to transform new concepts into reality.

Collect data on system performance and characterize device characteristics within a research lab environment.

Conduct design trade studies and performance analysis.

Present scientific results to peers at conferences or through publications.

Required Skills

Must have completed a PhD prior to starting the position.

Minimum 4+ years’ experience (including PhD time) in quantum information, qubits, atomic physics, precision spectroscopy, optics, vacuum systems, electronics, cryogenics, or laser systems.

Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, green card holder, or granted asylum/refugee status).

Must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless also a U.S. citizen.

Experience with the design or operation of a device for quantum information processing.
