This role seeks an Advanced Electrical Engineer to design and improve the control systems essential for next-generation quantum computers. The engineer will be responsible for circuit design, analysis, and testing, leading small design teams to ensure project completion on time and with success. This position involves working in a new product development environment and collaborating closely with various cross-functional engineering and science teams.
Key Responsibilities
Perform circuit design, analysis, measurement, and test activities.
Lead small design teams to successfully complete projects on time with first pass success and limited supervision.
Perform first article testing in the lab for new designs.
Design products using DFx best practices.
Model and simulate complex circuitry and validate the model with hardware measurements.
Work closely with cross functional teams to develop analog electronics for use in quantum computers.
Required Skills
Minimum of 4 years of experience in specification, development, and testing of analog electronic products.
Knowledge in ADC/DACs, amplifiers, passive/active filtering, analog control loops, and low-noise design techniques and measurements.
Experience with schematic entry and board layout.
Experience using laboratory test equipment, such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
Nice-to-have Skills
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
More than 6 years of industry experience in an engineering or R&D environment.
Experience with discrete transistor design.
Proven leadership ability, including program execution and mentoring.
Strong communication skills and proficiency in design documentation.
Experience with digital, FPGA, and software development.
