The engineer will focus on electrical requirement validation and testing, especially within cryogenic systems. Responsibilities include developing specialized test equipment, writing automation scripts, and managing the execution of complex cryogenic testing in the labs. This position is instrumental in demonstrating critical technologies that advance the quantum computer roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and validate ASICs by working with an integrated product team to support the quantum computer roadmap and goals.
Develop electrical interfaces and specialized test equipment necessary to operate with cryogenic test chambers.
Create scripts to automate the operation of test equipment and the analysis of collected data.
Translate quantum computer requirements and customer needs into verifiable test plans.
Manage the overall operation and test execution of cryogenic testing in laboratory settings.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in an engineering or R&D environment.
At least 3 years of experience developing test equipment and executing test plans for digital and analog circuit validation and characterization in a lab setting.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with cryogenic test chambers.
Nice-to-have Skills
Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Hands-on experience testing low-noise analog electronics.
Understanding of the impact of EMI/EMC and grounding/return currents on sensitive electronics.
Experience with ASIC development and testing.
Strong background with the Python programming language.
Experience addressing the electrical engineering challenges specific to Quantum Computers or ion-traps.
Strong communication skills and experience with appropriate design documentation.
