Key Responsibilities
Perform essential research and development into novel quantum control solutions and sensor fusion algorithms to enhance the performance of real-world quantum sensors.
Develop theoretical models and numerical simulation tools designed for assessing quantum sensor performance in realistic environments.
Analyze sensor performance in realistic environments and apply optimization and machine learning techniques to enhance performance.
Collaborate closely with engineering and experimental teams to deploy developed quantum control and sensor fusion protocols onto real sensor hardware.
Communicate research findings and insights to internal teams, external stakeholders, and customers through presentations and written publications.
Required Skills
PhD in Physics, Engineering, or a closely related discipline
Experience in the theory of atom interferometry, cold atomic systems, or warm atomic vapours quantum sensing
Experience in numerical modelling and/or optimization related to quantum sensing
Experience in pulse-level optimisation and quantum control techniques
Nice-to-have Skills
Expertise with Python programming language for scientific computing
Experience modelling real quantum experiments or hardware
Demonstrated experience in improving experimental outcomes through novel signal processing or denoising algorithms
