This role supports the development of new silicon photonic products within a foundry environment for quantum computing technology. Key Responsibilities
Execute new and updated design rules for photonics dies to ensure manufacturing compatibility.
Act as a technical liaison between the internal photonic design and reliability teams and the external foundry partners.
Review DRC waiver requests, conduct technical risk assessments, and manage the documentation and approval process.
Evaluate and manage the complex interactions among layout specifications, design intent, technology constraints, and fabrication processes.
Plan and support the execution of engineering samples necessary for system builds and validation.
Contribute to product qualification activities by assisting in debugging and resolving technology or process issues.
Required Skills
Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor or EDA technologies.
Proven track record in executing complex cross-department projects.
Strong domain knowledge in process development, design manual creation, design rules, and DRC setup.
Expertise in new product technology development and reliability/qualification test site development.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong critical thinking, analytical, and detail-oriented problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
Nice-to-have Skills
Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
