The Junior Quantum Compilation Scientist will help build the future of quantum systems by designing and implementing the company's compilation suite. This involves optimizing quantum programs for maximum efficiency on their unique fault-tolerant quantum processors. The role requires integrating expertise in quantum physics, theoretical computer science, and high-performance software engineering. The ultimate goal is to directly boost the speed and reliability of the quantum hardware.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement theoretical studies and tools for Alice & Bob’s compilation suit to maximize the efficiency of the fault-tolerant quantum computer architecture.
Monitor and analyze existing quantum compilation tools available in the broader ecosystem.
Document discoveries, file patents, and share scientific results through publications and conference presentations.
Communicate team achievements and technical accomplishments across the company.
Required Skills
Demonstrated expertise in quantum compilation, quantum error correction, fault-tolerant quantum algorithms, classical language, or compilation theory
Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Quantum Information Science
Proficiency in Python
Proficiency in at least one compiled language (e.g., C++, Rust)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Professional-level English proficiency
Nice-to-have Skills
Demonstrated expertise in graph theory or branch and bound/constraint propagation algorithms
Solid understanding of classical compiler backends (e.g., LLVM, GCC)
Solid understanding of high-performance or specialized computing compilers
Strong command of computer architecture and operating systems
Experience with other relevant programming languages
