Key Responsibilities

Develop laser systems specifically for deployment on the International Space Station as part of the BECCAL project.

Prepare and submit project proposals to acquire external third-party funding, coordinating with partners and funding organizations.

Plan, implement, and scientifically and administratively supervise challenging research projects.

Provide supervision for doctoral students and other associated project staff.

Participate in personnel recruiting activities for the project.

Required Skills

Above-average doctorate degree in physics.

Completed scientific university degree in physics or a related field.

In-depth knowledge of experimental quantum physics, including Optics, Laser physics, Atomic physics, Atom interferometry, and Bose-Einstein condensation.

Knowledge of procedures for successful acquisition and management of third-party funded projects from national and international institutions.
