This is a senior, hands-on R&D Project Lead role focused on developing scalable, high-quality quantum devices. The primary goal is to guide experimental strategy, manage technical dependencies, and ensure scientific rigor across multiple parallel projects. The lead will define experiments, interpret results, and make technical decisions while driving progress across the full R&D lifecycle, including design, fabrication, and measurement.
Key Responsibilities
Drive progress across multiple R&D projects by identifying critical paths, dependencies, and priorities.
Define and execute experimental strategies, including hypothesis development and deciding on what to test next.
Design experiments and contribute directly to hands-on work across design, fabrication, and measurement cycles.
Analyze experimental results, draw clear conclusions, and translate findings into actionable next steps.
Coordinate closely with design, fabrication, and measurement teams to ensure an efficient and aligned R&D cycle.
Manage uncertainty by identifying technical risks early and adapting plans as new data emerges.
Communicate progress, findings, and trade-offs clearly to internal stakeholders.
Required Skills
Strong background in experimental physics
Hands-on experience working with superconducting qubits
Experience across the full R&D lifecycle including design, fabrication, and measurement
Natural ownership mindset and comfort taking initiative
Ability to balance scientific depth with pragmatic progress and timely decision-making
Clear communication style and confidence influencing technical discussions
