This role is for an experienced Digital ASIC Design Engineer specializing in hardware cryptography and security. The expert will join an R&D team focused on cutting-edge secure element devices used in mobile, payment, and biometric markets. This individual will enhance chip-level security and implement advanced cryptographic features by collaborating closely with both hardware and software teams.
Key Responsibilities
Drive the enhancement of hardware-level security based on real-world feedback from security labs and certification bodies.
Implement and verify security features including but not limited to AES, TDES, KECCAK, PKI, and countermeasures against side-channel and fault attacks.
Monitor cryptographic and physical attack trends and propose proactive mitigation strategies.
Interpret and apply security and system-level constraints such as performance, power consumption, and compliance with industry standards.
Support validation, debug, and security certification processes in close collaboration with software, test, and quality assurance teams.
Contribute to continuous improvement in design methodology and IP development within a quality-driven workflow.
Review and evaluate verification, validation, and qualification results to ensure secure and robust product delivery.
Required Skills
Solid expertise in hardware cryptography and post-quantum cryptographic algorithms (AES, TDES, RNG, PKI, etc.)
Familiarity with security certification schemes such as Common Criteria (CC), FIPS, or EMVCo
Strong experience in Digital ASIC Design, ideally within secure systems or SoC development
Proficient in Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL with experience using industry-standard design tools (Synopsys, Cadence)
Experience with scripting languages (TCL, Python) for automation and testbench development
Good understanding of ISO7816, ISO14443, and other relevant communication protocols
Strong English communication skills
