Conduct cutting-edge research to improve quantum error correction strategies, algorithms, and related software.

Create and demonstrate novel quantum error correction components, sharing these findings through publications and presentations.

Develop or integrate real-time decoder technologies into HPE's HPC-QC software stack.

Required Skills

A PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics, preferably focused on quantum computing.

10 or more years of general programming experience.

At least one year of experience implementing software for quantum error correction, such as resource estimation or real-time decoding.

Advanced programming proficiency in low-level languages like C, C++, or Rust.

Advanced programming proficiency in Python.

Deep understanding of Quantum Error Correction codes, including circuit compilation and decoding.

Experience creating or extending quantum computing tools (e.g., Qiskit, CUDA-Q, TensorFlow Quantum, Pennylane).

Nice-to-have Skills

Knowledge of quantum computing applications, such as quantum chemistry or quantum simulation.

Programming experience within high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
