Key Responsibilities
Manage and mentor a team of mechanical and opto-mechanical engineers while cultivating innovation and collaboration.
Provide technical leadership for the design, development, and integration of complex opto-mechanical systems, especially those using laser-based optoelectronic equipment.
Define mechanical specifications and lead the design, fabrication, and testing of opto-mechanical hardware, including analysis of heat transfer and structural dynamics.
Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment across different functional teams.
Oversee the creation of detailed technical documentation such as design specifications, test reports, and user manuals.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in opto-mechanical system design and development.
Experience with SolidWorks, PDM, or equivalent design and data management software.
Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA), including meshing, modal and thermal analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience and proficiency managing projects and teams effectively.
Nice-to-have Skills
Experience in optoelectronics, lasers, optical communications, or optics in computing.
