This role is for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Cloud team, focusing on empowering quantum hardware through software tools for users. Key Responsibilities
Design and implement new services and APIs utilizing Python and frameworks like FastAPI.
Develop and maintain React-based frontend applications, including single-page applications.
Collaborate with low-level software teams to integrate hardware functionality through higher-level interfaces.
Define and enforce technical best practices concerning architecture, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Facilitate code reviews and provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the team.
Required Skills
3+ years of experience as a software engineer in a cloud environment
Strong backend experience and proficiency in modern Python, including FastAPI or similar frameworks
Experience with asynchronous programming
Comfort with React or similar frameworks for building and maintaining Single Page Applications (SPAs)
Experience working with containers (Docker/Podman)
Experience with CI/CD workflows and infrastructure tools like Ansible
Familiarity with modern deployment environments, including Kubernetes and VM-based setups
Nice-to-have Skills
Experience working in high-performance computing, hardware control systems, or quantum/physics-driven environments
Contributions to open-source projects
Familiarity with GitLab tools including projects, issues, and CI/CD
Understanding of authentication and user access control systems (e.g., OAuth2, Keycloak)
