Alice & Bob is looking for a Senior Quantum Experimentalist to join their Calibration team. This role focuses on automating and optimizing the performance of the company's cat-qubit Quantum Processing Unit. The individual will be responsible for maintaining QPU calibrations, characterizing and optimizing gate performance, and contributing to the overall technological roadmap. This position also involves collaborating with internal teams and representing the company's scientific research externally.
Key Responsibilities
Define and optimize the processor automatic calibration graphs to enhance QPU performance.
Integrate new gate measurements and calibration methods into cat qubit quantum processors.
Contribute to the improvement of experimental setups and tools.
Report on experimental results both internally and externally to disseminate knowledge.
Manage external collaborations to broaden the company's research scope.
Required Skills
PhD + postdoc with 4+ years of experience of experimental work in quantum mechanics in the field of superconducting quantum circuits.
Microwave control and measurement of superconducting quantum circuits.
Data analysis and comparison to theory or numerical simulations (preferably with Python).
Quantum gate design and benchmarking.
Quantum error correction protocols.
Scientific Writing.
